Ice Storm
Dec 1/06 Oh No! Freezing rain! Left work at 3:30. Got lift from Pointe Claire to Metro. Now the challenge is the walk from the metro to home.
Never mind the umbrella in the wind and freezing rain. Try walking on the street and watching out for oncoming cars and hope none of the overhanging tree branches covered in ice break and land on your head.
Sidewalks are too slippery. So by the time I got home, I am soaking wet. I'd rather have the snow anytime to freezing rain.
6:00 p.m. At least the power went out after I had my supper. Power still off at 9:00 p.m. Early to bed to catch up on my much needed sleep.
Today, it is very windy out. To shop or not to shop. That is the question. So much to do and so little time. Hmmmmmmmmm.
